Dollars for Scholars

Each year, Cass County Electric contributes $500 to each Dollars for Scholars (DFS) chapter in our service area. The scholarships are awarded to graduating high school students to be used at post-secondary education institutions.

Local chapters benefiting from this program include Central Cass, Enderlin, Fargo, Kindred, Lisbon, Litchville-Marion, Maple Valley, North Central, Northern Cass, Page, Richland, Valley City and West Fargo.

Cass County Electric established this program through the statewide Dollars for Scholars office, which opened in Casselton in June of 2001. CCEC was the first company to initiate the program through the state office.

There are currently 78 local chapters in North Dakota and most recipients receive awards of $500 to $1,000.

(NOTE: Cass County Electric Cooperative does not select the winners of the Dollars for Scholars recipients.)
