Load Control
Members can save money by allowing Cass County Electric to interrupt qualifying load in exchange for lower electric rates. We do this to avoid high price wholesale energy purchases and to make more efficient use of our current power plant resources.
Since the mid-1970s, Cass County Electric has built a very effective load management system. During a winter peak, we can drop nearly half of our system load in just a matter of minutes with more than 10,000 load control devices on our system. We invite you to check out our Annual Heating Chart.
