Minnkota Power Cooperative
Minnkota Power Cooperative, Inc. (MPC) is a regional generation and transmission cooperative serving 11 member-owner distribution cooperatives, including Cass County Electric Cooperative. Minnkota's service area of 34,500 square miles is located in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota. Through its generation resources, Minnkota has one of the lowest average wholesale electrical rates in the country, approximately 3 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh).

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association
National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to representing the national interests of cooperative electric utilities and the consumers they serve.

Western Area Power Administration
The Western Area Power Administration, or WAPA, supplies hydroelectric power to Minnkota Power Cooperative. Minnkota purchases about 15% of their power from WAPA.
